The Kinvoy Design Process
Five phases from first conversation to lifelong story.
01
Phase One
The Legacy Conversation
Before anything else, we talk. Not about destinations or dates — about what you want this trip to be. We ask the question that shapes everything: What do you want your family to carry from this experience? Some clients answer with an emotion — reconnection, wonder, celebration. Some answer with a relationship — this is about my grandchildren knowing where we came from. Some take a moment to think. All of it is the right answer. This is the foundation of every Kinvoy trip.
02
Phase Two
The Family Profile
We build a complete picture of your group: who's coming, their ages and interests, physical considerations, dietary needs, the dynamics that matter, and what a great day looks like across your generations. This isn't a form — it's a conversation. The goal is to understand the family as a design system before we design anything.
03
Phase Three
Trip Architecture
We develop a considered trip architecture tailored to your family's profile and legacy intent. Destination recommendations come with reasoning — why this place, at this time, for this family. Property recommendations reflect the size and character of your group. Day-by-day structure accounts for pacing across generations, split activities where helpful, and space for the unscheduled moments that tend to become the ones everyone remembers.
04
Phase Four
Refinement
We present the architecture and work through it with you — adjusting, sharpening, and confirming until it's right. This phase is collaborative but directed: we know what works for multigenerational groups, and we'll say so. Our job isn't to agree with every instinct; it's to deliver a trip that works.
05
Phase Five
Execution and Presence
Once confirmed, Kinvoy manages every booking, coordinates with all suppliers and in-destination contacts, prepares logistics documentation for your group, and is available throughout the trip. You don't manage anything. You're present. That's the point.
The Difference
What Makes Kinvoy Different
Pure-play multigenerational expertise.
Kinvoy doesn't serve everyone. We serve families planning trips for 8–20+ guests across 3 generations. That focus creates a depth of expertise that generalist agencies can't replicate, regardless of their Rolodex.
The design process starts with intent, not inventory.
Most agencies start with where you want to go. We start with why. That sequence changes what gets built.
Your advisor is a peer.
Tom Friedrich's background is C-suite advisory, not hospitality sales. He's fluent in the world his clients inhabit. The conversations are faster, the recommendations are more relevant, and there's no time spent on context-setting that should be unnecessary.
Complexity handled as a baseline.
Dietary restrictions across six family members. Activity tracks for 8-year-olds and 72-year-olds on the same day. A flight roster that requires three connection cities. This is Kinvoy's daily work, not an edge case.
One relationship, full ownership.
Tom leads every engagement personally. You're not handed off to a junior coordinator after the first call. The person who understood what you wanted is the person who built it and who answers when you need something.
The first step is the simplest one.
Tell us about your family and what you're imagining. We'll take it from there.
